Due to a naming conflict with another program, Compactor has been renamed to Compact Pro¬. This does not reflect any change in the ownership of the software, and it is still a shareware program. Registered users of Compactor are now registered users of Compact Pro.
ÑÑÑ╩Foreign Users ╤ Please Note╩ÑÑÑ
Due to export regulations of the US government, it has been necessary to eliminate the encryption capabilities from versions of Compact Pro which are not registered in the US and Canada. I am very sorry for having to make this restriction, but I have not found any way to avoid doing so.
I am especially grateful to the many users outside the US who have registered. I know that the language and currency barriers make registration from overseas especially difficult. For this reason, I find this action especially regrettable. If the export laws change, I will re-enable encryption capabilities as quickly as possible.
